Matt-Trill Chambers
Hello, my name is Matt-Trill Chambers and I am a Black male therapist serving in the Ontario region.
“Just like there’s always time for pain, there’s always time for healing”- Jennifer Brown. I believe if pain is a common thing we all experience, then healing is something we should also be allowed to experience. A person may not have any control over the cause of the pain they experience; however, they can get to decide to engage in the healing process.
I got into therapy because I became aware of many hurting persons in the world, and I wanted to do my part to provide healing. I’ve worked in different settings, such as an elementary school, group home, and treatment centre. I have a Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) University and a Child and Youth Worker diploma from George Brown College. I hope to assist people in healing in their mental health journey.
I can address various issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD and other behavioural needs, trauma/racial trauma, and family/relationship dynamics. We can explore your needs and goals to develop a path that works best for you by combining a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I work with children, youth, couples and families.
